Data Deletion
Inkwell stores your writing locally on your device by default. This page explains how to delete data that exists only on your device, and how to delete your account and any cloud-synced data if you've enabled sync.
Option 1: Delete local data only (no account needed)
- Open Inkwell and go to Settings โ Data โ Reset App, or
- Uninstall the App from your device โ this permanently removes all locally stored books, diary entries, notes, and to-dos that were not backed up elsewhere.
This action is irreversible. Export your content first via Settings โ Export if you want to keep a copy.
Option 2: Delete your account and cloud data
If you created an account and enabled cloud sync, you can request full deletion in either of these ways:
- In-app: go to Settings โ Account โ Delete Account, confirm, and your account plus all cloud-synced content will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
- By email: send a deletion request to [shivamkushwah@gmail.com] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
